What can be recycled on weekdays?
Bottles & Cans
Aluminum
• Soda cans
• Foil
• Food trays
Food Cans
• Steel, bi-metal and tin
Glass Bottles and Jars
• Clear, brown, green and blue
Plastic Bottles

• Bottles and jugs marked with a #1 or #2
• No plastic bags
Empty Aerosol Cans (Remove tops)
Paper Items
• Cardboard (Please flatten)
• Office Paper (Copy Paper, Letterhead, Computer printouts, Envelopes)
• Include all colors of paper
• Shredded paper (please bag in a clear bag)
Newspapers (Include inserts)
Junk Mail
• Advertisements
• Brochures
• Fliers
Paperboard Boxes
• Empty food boxes
• Shoe boxes
Magazines, Catalogs and Telephone Books (Remove any plastic wrap)
Paper Bags
• Grocery store or paper shopping bags
• "Clean" fast food bags are acceptable
Milk and Juice Cartons (Remove plastic caps)
What can’t be recycled?
The following items can NOT be recycled in our current recycling program:
• Used napkins/paper towels
• Facial Tissue
• Paper plates and cups
• Plastic cups and straws
• Waxed Boxes
• Windows and Mirrors
• Pyrex
• Ceramics
• Plastic Wrap
• Foil gift wrap
• Foil-lined envelopes
• Paper printed with metallic ink
• Plastic-coated paper (laminated)
• Photographs
• Styrofoam
Where do we recycle on weekdays?
Recycling containers are located in many buildings across campus - Just look for the logo, find a bin and RECYCLE! Large recycling containers (40 cubic yards) are located at the following locations:
• Bolton Dining Commons
• Oglethorpe Dining Commons
• Snelling Dining Commons
• Carlton Street Lot
• East Village Dining Commons
• East Campus Parking Lot Deck
• University Village (Building C Lot)
• Recreational Sports Complex (Lake Herrick Pavillion Lot)
• Rogers Road (Building P)
• Riverbend Research Lot
